シェイクスピアの戯曲マクベスに登場する3人の魔女the weird sistersに着想を得た映像インスタレーション。本年6月に三島waltzで発表した内容を新たな構成でお見せします。
3人の魔女は、矛盾にみちた発言や予言によって聞く者の内なる野心をくすぐり翻弄します。
由来をさかのぼるとイギリスの古典のみならず、ギリシャ神話や北欧神話などにも似たような三女神が存在し、過去・現在・未来を司るなど興味深い役割を持っていることが分かります。the weird sistersを作家の日常的な視点から捉え、現代社会の混沌を見つめます。

‘the weird sisters w/ Sampo’, a solo exhibition by Pimeriko, will open from Thursday 3 August to Sunday 20 August 2023.
Pimeriko captures acts of the weird sisters appears in the Shakespear’s Macbeth from the artist’s everyday perspective and reconstruct them into a video installation that reflects the chaos of contemporary society.
